PLEASE NOTE THE 9AM START TIME TO ALLOW FOR TRAVEL

 

Meet at Buckhead Fire Dept. 6810 Old Lake Rd., Bolton, NC 28423 between the intersections of Jacobs Loop Rd. and Moores Ln. This ride start point is approximately one hour from Wilmington so please plan accordingly. This ride offers a 45 and 29 mile option. The 45 mile option has 3 rest stops including a store stop at mile 39. The 29 mile option has 2 stops including the store stop at mile 23.

There will usually be three pace groups.  The “Fast” or A Group riding at an average pace of 18+mph, the “Strong” or B Group riding at an average pace of 16-17mph, and the “Moderate” or C Group riding at an average pace of 14-15mph.  (When the ride allows there will be a “Leisurely” or D Group riding at a sub 14mph average pace over a shorter distance with a no drop policy.  This will be noted in the ride announcement header.)

You are responsible for printing your own copy of the map for this ride. Do not expect the ride leader to provide any at the start of the ride. If you do not have facilities to accomplish this then email a request to the ride leader to possibly make one for you.

 Everyone needs to plan on arriving 15 minutes before the ride is scheduled to ROLL OUT.

If the temperature at the start time is below 32 degrees or there is a steady rain, the ride is canceled
