CAPE FEAR CYCLISTS SWAP MEET AND PICNIC After this Saturday’s ride we are putting together the opportunity to get rid of that bike component or jersey that doesn’t fit at our first Swap Meet. Please bring along some cash as well as that bike stuff you no longer need for this casual out of your car swap meet. Following the ride and in conjunction with the Swap Meet we will be providing a picnic of a pork bbq sandwich, chips and your choice of sweet or unsweetened tea. In order to have the right amount of food we are asking all participants to register for this event prior to May 13. This will be a ride with a choice of either 50 miles or 27 miles, starting off at Pender Memorial Park. There will usually be three pace groups. The “Fast” or A Group riding at an average pace of 18+mph, the “Strong” or B Group riding at an average pace of 16-17mph, and the “Moderate” or C Group riding at an average pace of 14-15mph. (When the ride allows there will be a “Leisurely” or D Group riding at a sub 14mph average pace over a shorter distance with a no drop policy. This will be noted in the ride announcement header.) You are responsible for printing your own copy of the map for this ride. Do not expect the ride leader to provide any at the start of the ride. If you do not have facilities to accomplish this then email a request to the ride leader to possibly make one for you.

The ride leader reserves the right to ask the cyclist to stay at the rear or leave the group if the e-bike is not being safely operated, as with any unsafe cyclist. E-Bike classifications
