This ride is conducted under the Cape Fear Cyclists COVID ride rules, please review prior to the ride and follow them.
Each rider should sign the liability waiver at the start and provide an emergency contact number.
Leaves from Halyburton Park (near the east restrooms). Route will be out of park to George Andersen, through neighborhoods to Myrtle Grove Road to Ashley HS, then back on River Rd, Independence, looping through Echo farms, and back on Halyburton/St Andrew. Approximately 32 miles.
Sometimes we split into two groups, but we regroup at 10.8 miles the Vet Clinic on Navaho Trail, at the restroom break/ coffee stop at McDonalds near Ashley HS and at 27 miles at River Front Pl…no one left behind.

Monitor the CFC Slack channel “thursday-am-ride-schedule” before the ride for last minute info or cancelation. (If the forecast includes temps below 38 F, wind chill down to 32 or rain or wet roads.) Ride leader will cancel via Slack at least one hour prior if conditions are bad.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the ride is scheduled to ROLL OUT. All riders will be asked to provide name and info for themselves and an emergency contact. Non-members will be asked to sign a ride waiver and release. [Members are covered under a waiver signed when registering for the club.]
Weather varies with the season, so dress in layers or apply sunscreen accordingly, and of course, wear a helmet. Bring plenty of liquid & snacks.
You are responsible for printing your own copy of the map for this ride. Do not expect the ride leader to provide any at the start of the ride. If you do not have facilities to accomplish this then email a request to the ride leader to possibly make one for you.

E-bike riders must have approval prior to the ride by the ride leader. Only Class 1 (pedal assist mode only) e-bikes are allowed on routes. No e-bike motor pacing the front of a pace line. The ride leader reserves the right to ask the cyclist to stay at the rear or leave the group if the e-bike is not being safely operated, as with any unsafe cyclist. E-Bike classifications
